Award Description
The Hill & Mountain Skills scheme is a great way to develop your personal skills and confidence in all elements of hill and mountain walking. From planning a coastal walk to navigating in complex terrain, these courses are an ideal opportunity to learn the basics and enjoy the countryside. THIS IS NOT THE HILL AND MOORLAND LEADER SCHEME.
About
Peak Navigation Courses are run by Jane Livingstone and Michael Hunt, both qualified International Mountain Leaders with many years experience of teaching navigation, hill and mountain skills. The course takes place in the Derbyshire Peak District, on a range of terrain, including open moorland. The fee (£85) does not include accommodation or lunches. You will need to register with Mountain Training (England) prior to attending this course for which there is a small fee (£20).
